Crafting with Kids
Although not everyone’s cup of tea, crafting with your kids can be a relaxing activity when the weather outside doesn’t permit for any outdoor fun.
No matter the age of your children, there is bound to be a craft out there that they will enjoy. Though the craft you choose will depend on the age of your child, we have created a list of craft ideas that you can consider partaking in this summer season.
Pet Rocks (or pine cones)
An easy artsy activity for any child. Going outside, picking up some fallen pieces of nature or outdoor rocks, can act as a simple and inexpensive craft.
Sea Shell Painting
If you’re like me then you’ll have an overload of sea shells from various vacations over the years. Though I always tell myself I’ll do something with then, I never really do. This is the perfect opportunity for you and your children to take advantage of your collection; creating necklaces, sea-shell picture frames, and anything else you can think of! Remember, you can paint them, stain them, or leave the as is – no matter what they’ll look great!
Always a fun activity for any age group, tie dying allows your kids to get creative. Letting your kids customize a summer t-shirt or hat that they can use throughout the summer is always a fun experience for all.
There are numerous crafts out there that you can enjoy creating – and later eating. Consider a taking summer popsicle, or some homemade popcorn to munch on during a rainy day film.
Simpler than it seems, using glue and some old tissue paper can create a wonderful master piece that your child can display in their bedroom.
Definitely one for the older kids, dream catchers take time and patience; but are 100% worth it in the end, as they are great keep sakes for the future.
